“I was having a hard time finding suitable listening materials that weren't boring or locked behind a paywall. Intermediate French Podcast to the rescue! Someone mentioned this podcast on reddit, and when I listened to it I was amazed. Hugo speaks very clearly and makes complicated topics and new vocabulary easy to understand, almost like I'm having coffee with a smart, cool French friend. I love his voice and the topics he chooses to share. Each podcast is about 30 minutes long, but it feels shorter because I get so engrossed in the podcast that time just speeds by...
It's awesome that transcriptions are available too, although I haven't had to use them because I can listen to an episode a couple times through and usually I understand most of it, but it's nice to know they're available. “Love these podcasts. He speaks slowly and clearly and the subjects are interesting - which is his goal. My children attend french school and they have already surpassed me so I am trying to improve my own french and these podcasts definitely help with comprehension.”
