An Utterly Lamentable Podcast
Lamentable because they've got next to no back catalogue of past shows. This podcast is practically brand new, and it infuriates me. I wish that somehow I had remained ignorant of its existence for a year or two so that I might be able to listen to hours of it every day, as I was overjoyed to do two summers ago with Stop Podcasting Yourself, and as I am finally beginning to do now with Jordan, Jesse, Go!. But, as Luck would have it - and she always has it - that kind of heaven on earth is, and will never, be available to a loveless wretch like me. Except that time two summers ago with Stop Podcasting Yourself, I may have mentioned. This podcast fills my hole. When I stopped listening to NPR's Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me! because I found certain aspects annoying enough to cause me to reassess my life and my priorities, and to consequently conclude that I don't need that kind of annoyance in my life, a great yawning hole opened up in it. International Waters doesn't really do any kind of job educating me about current events the way WWDTM did, so now all I have to whip out at dinner parties is ways in which Chili's is a practice restaurant and how not to use Hitler in an effort to win a novel pitch and I seem like even more of a giant idiot than I normally do, and that's the way I like it. OMG this podcast is so great.Read full review »
