“Stumbled upon this podcast in search for ways to diversify my current portfolio. This podcast really has a great potential. The episode with Stan the annuity man was golden! I'll be calling him very soon :-)
But speaking about investing, I think one of the hosts should invest in speech therapy. I'm not putting you down sir, in fact I like it very much that you complement the other host (the multi millionaire) well by providing the perspective of those that don't have millions yet.
But you are in speaking business, so it's very important that you invest in improving the quality of your speech.
You have a mild case of stammering/stuttering. And your type can be easily fixed with deep breathing exercises among other therapeutic modalities.
Take time to listen to your podcast and you will notice your habit of holding your breath longer than normal and then letting out a big deep exhalation.
When you speak, you try to jam as many words as possible in one single breath. When you run out of air the words at the end of your sentence are cut short and are not enunciated fully. And you also start getting stuck at the first letter of some words.
Even when your not talking, while your guest is talking, I still hear you let out big deep exhalations in the background, which means you've been holding your breath for longer than normal.
Do some research on breathing exercises for stammering and practice it right away. You will be surprised how your speech will improve. Also, try karaoke, singing has been found to help too. Pick the "standard" karaoke songs such as "My Way", "Delilah", etc.
