“As a teacher and programmer I cannot praise this course enough. I did a CS degree in the days when COBOL was for suits and FORTRAN was for hippies. I learned C from the original Kernighan & Ritchie book and have been playing iterative catchup for 30 years.
Coming to iOS and Objective-C for the first time was a shock: I thought I knew what I was doing but was soon put straight. The usual buy a book and use Google for the specifics did not work. This course has been a godsend. I work through the materials, try my own projects and then go back to see how it's done properly. It's just starting to make sense and I'm starting to get over the frustrations of an old time programmer being required to actually implement OOP.
If professor Hegarty needs a nominee for president of Stanford please let me know.”
