Figured out why I like it
Hi. I finally figured out why I love this podcast so much. I know, I know, you have all been waiting with baited breath. Well, here it is. For the most part, Is It On (despite the name, which seems ironic given what I am about to write) doesn't focus on the mudslinging between politicians. It does address it, talk about it and *shudders* whipsers about it. But the main thrust of the conversation seems to be about policies, and how those policies are going to be implemented, and if they are, how it is going to affect the people listening - young people. I may be demonstrating/experiencing conformation bias here as I recollect what I have listened to in Season 1 of this podcast, but I think that is what draws me back each week - discussion of policy more than anything else. So, when Alice and MArk ask for feedback, and what the audience likes about the podcast, that is it for me, and that is what I would like to see more of. That's the part I find most interesting. Thanks for a great podcast, and I love the mini ep with Lane, have MOAR of those, please and thank you.Read full review »

Goes from strength to strength. Some serious political reporting delivered in a fun package. Now my equal favourite with The Party Room. It is a positive sign that I'm seeing the usual mindless partisan myopic hacks slam it as biased. Can give no higher praise.Read full review »

But in all seriousness,...Read full review »
