Soul food
"Issues, Etc." is "soul food" of the highest quality! The Bible teaching unpacks meanings I have not considered in my own reading or Sunday School classes, and often leads me right to my pastor to get even more information. The sermon reviews and guest interviews about timely topics in the news develop my critical thinking, an important skill to have in our information-saturated age. I have come to appreciate Lutheran hymns and liturgy more than ever after listening to podcasts which delve into the scripture and doctrine which underlay them. In addition, Rev. Todd Wilken is a very skilled interviewer, allowing his guests to fully explore topics and asking all the right questions to keep the discussion flowing. The sound quality is excellent and the production is professional. I consider "Issues, Etc." to be essential listening! I recommend this to anyone who has a curious mind, and especially to Christian listeners who wish to learn more about their faith.Read full review »

This podcast frames Christian issues in the poorest light. The host fails god in his discussion with guests by ignoring the truth and Providing a false witness.
