The show provides biased opinion as fact with no information to back their claims. If the show indicated these were opinions they were giving it would be fine.

So. Hard. On. The. Ears. This podcast is HORRENDOUS. The host sounds like a 15 yo girl who uses like...like every other like word. Like... really? Also, your use of the term Apartheid is abhorrent. Israeli Arabs, like Israeli Jews, are doctors, lawyers, judges, hold seats on Knesset,...Read full review »

In the reviews I read a lot of aesthetic criticisms of a pretty solid show that rightfully doesnt care about this shortcoming- this is a panel show… hosted by activists, journalists and - they don’t hide behind neutrality. Not should they. These people have skin in the game. To the folks who...Read full review »

This podcast used to provide interesting (even if terrifying) accounts of things going to s*t, which is ostensibly what it is about, but now it's just bog-standard radical left talking points and very light on actual original content. Robert Evans is the only person in this bunch with a...Read full review »

Please train the host instead of throwing him to the wolves and expecting hours of content every week. No editing no dictation training, no focus. Wish I could give half a star.

I implore you to please keep the book club chant. It is essential to my book club listening pleasure. Love the show. Thanks.

The topics and content are generally interesting. On the negative side one or two hosts (not Robert Evans) overgeneralise and exaggerate too much. The episode on the sinking of the rainbow warrior was a particularly strong example of this.

I’ll give it one extra star because the show used to be pretty good. Today after listening to the narrator read uncritically directly from Trump’s campaign website for 20+ minutes I will need to turn this off for good.

Overall, this is a show I enjoy. It offers me a perspective on events, current and historical, that I don't get from the main networks and provides plenty of GOOD food for thought moments. Having said that, there is a lack of professionalism when it comes to final reviews/fact checking of...Read full review »

I would listen to Robert make a days long fart joke. That’s how much I love his voice—I wanna make out with it. I also enjoy the jokes and facts it relays, yes. Robert’s voice is so sumptuous, so mellifluous I lap his words up like I’m dying of thirst. I would vocal on his timbre until we’re...Read full review »

Feels like a show being done by journalism undergrads who regard NPR as the ideal, both in terms of delivery and ideology. Unsubscribe.

I was really interested to listen to the Temu episode but I couldn’t even get through it because every other word was “like”. Can’t you throw in an “I mean”, an “Um”, etc.? Any word other than “like”? Seriously.

Used to be a great and informative show but it’s just been devolving since 2023 into lopsided nonsense. Every Shereen episode especially is just a slog to get thru. Hopefully they come back to actual journalism some day instead of whatever this has become.

This podcast is ran by a bunch of Anarchists. So they often decidedly talk about how they think liberal bourgeoisie governments are better than actual governments ran by communist parties. I always knew Robert Evans has these tendencies, but BTB doesn’t really seem to allow it to cloud the...Read full review »

I’ve been listening since the first episode in 2019, and I’ve listened to every Cool Zone pod since. I’ve enjoyed the commentary on important social issues. Ever since this pod has gone to a daily format the quality has tanked, with a few exceptions. Sadly, I think this is where this one listener...Read full review »

I would say that eight out if 10 times this is a pretty good show. I feel it’s important to get a variety of news from a variety of sources. That’s how we grow and evolve as people. But, every now and then, the show is hosted by people who seem to have less than stellar journalistic...Read full review »

Thank you for covering M110. As a native Oregonian whose entire family voted for the measure, it is SO frustrating that they won’t give it time. I enjoy the show and feel I learn a lot, but I was really disappointed to be listening and hear an ad for Ozempic/Novo Nordisk— this is a product being marketed and pushed heavily that is actively shortages for patients that need this medication. As with all news, or information sources, who is giving it and where they are getting their information is critical. I have noticed that the level of bias depends on the host, the guests, and the topics, so take each episode independently. I have also noticed, that every single fact I have double...Read full review »

Too left and too woke to function, very one-sided. Robert is great but his minions are annoying and just spouting far left bias.

This show is always very informative and the cast is very smart. Even though I’m more of a socialist then a anarchist like the cast here, I never feel like I’m being led astray. Sometimes I have to give the podcast a break because it does just get to sad but it’s always worth a listen.

Most topics are interesting, well-researched and nuanced, but the editing and some host’s verbiage need serious help. It makes the discussions bog down and hard to follow/listen to. I’ve started so many episodes I want to finish, but can’t.

Different hosts over the years have consistently shown low journalistic standards. I know this is not really a “journalism” show, but when you have a platform to describe current events you have a responsibility to your audience to be factual.

Reviewing this podcast is weird because "Season 1" and "2" are not the same podcast, but the original series that became season 1 was my first contact with Robert Evans and oooh boy is it a ride and has it shaped my perspective on the concept of civil war in the US.
