Warning: EVERYONE is biased
I’ve heard most of what Robert Evans has said so far in his previous works on this topic, and I’m glad that he is presenting this line of thinking; that both sides endlessly provoking each other with violence is not a unique scenario, but one that has played out several times before, with disastrous results. As to his bias, yes, it is clearly there, and he doesn’t pretend to present a “both-sides” narrative, but why would he? His bias is formed by his experiences (just like all of our biases are) and his experiences include studying and reporting on civil wars from the front lines, as well as extensive research on terrorists and violent fascists from history and the present day. That said, antifa and the left are not given a pass as some reviews are suggesting, to me this podcast is more about the ramping up of violent rhetoric on both sides. Yes he points mostly to the right as the instigators of this, call that his bias if you want, but he doesn’t leave out the arming of left wing militants or the violence perpetrated by the left at rallies. Dismiss his bias if you must, but don’t doubt his facts. You will be hard pressed to find a man more qualified to speak on this topic or more worthy of your attention.

The intro is super atmospheric and definitely gets you sucked into living this dystopian possible future. Although I didn’t like the idea of the right being the one to start a war, he did say that the next episode will put the shoe on the other foot and see how the left could start it. Overall...Read full review »
