Content: promising. Production quality: lacking.
The content so far is great and I look forward to it getting more polished as the series evolves, but the guy reading the script needs to be replaced by someone who can give a better verbal performance. The guy currently doing it sounds way too robotic — sort of like he’s autopilot-reading a book report to his class and rushing through it because he just wants to get it finished. Also, the episode keeps jumping back to a previous spot, or jumping forward, which is very irritating. Finally, some production frills would really help to make the content not come off as so dry — like, add some music in the background occasionally, take some strategic pauses to build some anticipation and let the audience digest what they’ve just heard, add more brief quotation clips to prevent monotony from developing (like the Cohen clip, for example). Anywho, it seems like this could be a really amazing series after some trial and error, and after the producers get the hang of how to frame it. . Looking forward to more episodes.
