A Rare Gem
Gaming podcasts tend to come in two varieties. The first is the IGN sort, a little overly PR focused and industry friendly. The hosts are nice, but one can never shake the feeling that we are constantly being sold a product. The second is the gamer focused. Produced by fans, not by those in the press. These are often cliquey, niche affairs that don’t really offer much beyond the same sort of mindless chatter found on any gaming forum. The Jimquisition Podcast is a refreshing change in that it is hosted by three entertaining individuals who work in, and around, the games industry, but are not the tradition press crowd. They are industry insiders, but consumer friendly and they are also damned funny. This is a podcast unafraid to stray from games and just be funny. After a while, it feels like listening to good friends, and you can’t beat that.

The hosts bounce back and forth off of each other really well and when they occasionally talk about video games, they know what they're on about. And then when things go off the wall it's hilarious and sometimes makes me uncomfortable. And that's great. It proves I'm alive.Read full review »
