Painting is alive and well!
I've been recommending this podcast to lots of budding artists back in the UK. When my sister went to art school in Bristol not too long ago, she was advised that painting was dead, or at least in a terminal state. John “effortlessly” lays every thought and like the great Master, all feels (improbably) right . The guess, each one more selfless than the next. And the new Uncut gems , confirmed 400 years later how much better is to be first in crudeness than second in fines.
