Ep. 36 - From Youth Athlete to Tennis Pro: Ingrid Neel's Inspiring Journey (Part 1)
Description
This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Ingrid Neel, a professional tennis player from Florida and my dear friend who constantly inspires me. Ingrid takes me on a captivating journey through her life as a youth athlete, shedding light on the challenges she has faced in the competitive world of tennis. She also shares her insights on transitioning from singles to doubles and the crucial role of finding the right coach. She emphasizes the value of perseverance, joyfulness, and bravery in pursuing one's dreams.
This was one of the first episodes I ever recorded back in early January during Ingrid’s first tennis tournament of the year. I saved this episode because I will be bringing Ingrid back on the podcast in a few weeks to reflect on her achievements, changes, and growth since our initial conversation. Currently ranked 39th in the world in doubles, Ingrid has made tremendous progress since our earlier conversation when she was ranked 80th. There will be lots to catch up on in part 2, so keep an eye out for that! It's an honor and joy to have Ingrid on the show twice during her best year yet.
