What are the halakhic and emotional issues associated with infertility and the Jewish community?  In this episode, we explore the question of fertility treatments and the mitzvah to procreate, and what allowances halakha makes for undergoing such treatments on Shabbat and the halakhic category that applies in this case (is the person sick? Are they mitztaer, suffering?).  Then, we welcome our guest, Elizabeth Savetsky, founder of the social media movement #RealLoveRealLoss, a campaign that encourages people to speak out about their struggles with infertility and child loss, and that seeks to create a community of support for those who are grappling with these issues.
