“I am so glad to have found this here. What disturbs me that in a search for Jewish, Judaic, podcasts, the so called "Messianic Jews" show up in results every time. I hope this is inadvertant on the part of Itunes. These groups are not Jews. This is not my opinion. No Jewish authority in either the U.S nor Israel, recognizes any of these churches, as Jewish. They are not granted status as such, nor can they have synagougues sanctioned by such governing authorities, because they do not fit the criteria of Judaism. Those who worship Jesus Christ are seen as Christians universally. Jesus is not in the Torah, Talmud, not in any Jewish source, nor law. Christ is simply not recognized as part of the Jewish faith. Further, the intention of the groups, and their podcasts, is to prostelitize and convert. Judaism expressly forbids any protelitizing and discourages conversion unless one is very seriuous about it and has gone through a rigorous education in Judaism, so as to not attract anyone who is unsure about it. I hope Itunes will change the search results to recognize Jewish groups who are recognized as such. I would hope a podcast called for ex, HinduTeachings, that instead featured Torah lessons, would be removed from Hinduism search responses, and placed in the proper category for the simple fact it does not fit the criteria of what Hinduism is.
The bottom line is that you should not be allowed to ignore the well defined laws of one religion, in this case Judaism, follow the rules of the another religion entirely, break the laws of Judaism in doing so, yet be recognized on Itunes as a Jewish podcast nonetheless.”Read full review »
