“This is a wonderful Love-Letter of a Podcast to the incomprably BRILLIANT and Greatest Entertainer of ALL-TIME, Judy Garland. I've been a fan of Ms. Garland's since I was a yound child growing up in Arkansas, with The Wizard of Oz being the first way I was introduced to 'The Lady' herself. I'm 34 now and have been a Garland fanatic more-or-less since the 2001 mini-series produced by(and written for the small screen from her daughter, Lorna Luft's Book of the same name) 'Me and My Shadows: Life with Judy Garland.' That mini-series which premiered back in 2001, introduced me to the reason that I loved the Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney films my parent's would have me watch along with them when I was very young.
Thanks for taking the time to help keep Judy live and well in the year we are about to welcome, 2020. I'll admit, I went into the film 'Judy' starring Renee Zellweger with no expectations. Which is why I believe I ENJOYED the film so very much. Zellweger didn't make her a camped up version'ed' drag queen. She made her real, and tangible which is why at the end of the film, when Garland/Zellweger performs the 2 final and most believable songs I've ever seen from an actress playing Garland, that I wanted more! I felt like I was at "Talk of the Town." So when it ended, I was saddened as I was expecting the rest of a 'concert!' Haha! But that's again why I enjoyed the film and would suggest any young person, who knows or doesn't know the name 'Judy Garland' to see the film 'Judy' and also subscribe to Podcast like these. “I like the commentary before the shows . What a talent Judy Garland was . Bing had a helluva voice . More commercials please also they show what life in America was like back in the 1940’s . Optimism , patriotism and a wholesome life .”
