“This podcast is really making my life difficult. After years of being a perennially successful actor and filmmaker, I'm trying to move on with my life. You know - go back to school for something sensible, get a steady job at a desk, and just have a regular schedule with a regular paycheck. Well, this podcast just keeps interfering with my plans.
Everytime I listen, I learn something new about filmmaking. Whether it's a fresh approach to storyelling, or valuable insight on the inner workings of an advertising agency, or an out of the box tactic for getting a film funded, every episode of "Just Shoot it" delivers knew knowledge that just begs to be put into practical application. It not only educates, but more importantly inspires.
One of the best things about this podcast is that I've never felt like an outsider when listening to it, even though I don't have anywhere near the technical knowledge or experience of Matt and Oren and diverse stable of guests. Everytime I listen, I learn somthing new. But it never feels like a classroom. Rather than feeling like I am learning FROM them, it always feels like I am learning WITH them. It's that feeling of when you and your friends get a new video game, take it home and take turns playing and learning together.
At the end of the day, this podcast reignites my LOVE and PASSION for filmaking everytime I listen to it. It's a problem, but a quality one. So, Yeah. Thanks alot, guys.”Read full review »
