Evilly brilliant
Kakos Industries certainly does evil better. Tonally, this broadcast reminds me most of certain articles in The Onion, the ones where what drives the humor is the complete mismatch between tone and content. In the cheerful, dulcet tones of Kakos's CEO, Corin Deeth III, we get descriptions of the doings of Kakos and its many, perhaps innumerable, divisions. There's pain, death, the morbid, sybaritic luxury of the ultra-decadent, and something called the Wheel of Misery, all mordantly described in bland, even chipper language. People tend to say it reminds them of Welcome to Night Vale, but while the structure is the same, I think Kakos Industries has a much darker center. Highly recommended. Also, don't try to decipher the numbers at the end, or even write them down, for that way madness lies.Read full review »

The writing is witty, the premise is hilarious, and the humor is a perfect combination of satire, social commentary, & sex jokes. Although the voice acting is very occasionally a little stilted, Kakos Industries is a smart, well-produced show that warms my chilly little heart.

This podcast is wonderfully written. It's great for a bit of dark humor and its satire is spot on. I absolutely love this podcast and strongly recommend it!Read full review »
