“I love girl-bff podcasts where it's mostly conversation, and with this podcast specifically I feel like they share my preference for "amazingly bad" media - as in you know it's sort of bad, but that actually makes you love it MORE and your love for it is genuine even though your appreciation has a little irony. Insanely relatable, and you almost like participate as they talk.
To watch the kardashians without this podcast to unpack the intricacies of it, is not even half as good. I am motivated to keep watching the show just so I can follow along with the podcast on a jog-- genuinely fun to laugh out loud while running, and makes me hate running less hahahaha. So nice to have a safe space to appreciate the magical qualities of the kardashians which the overall culture overlooks, especially in the current hellscape that is our political/cultural climate, it's pure joy family values and appreciation of beauty. Reminds me of what Harry styles had to say about the unabashed fandom of teen girls - it just feels good to genuinely love and appreciate the family and what the show adds to your life. With the kardashians, I find that nearly every fan has an origin story of what emotional lowpoint they were in when they found it, and let the show feed some deep need inside them. This is a place for you to just bathe in the life-balm that is this show - and feel zero guilt or shame about it. Love.”Read full review »
