“The best way to describe this podcast is to simply say that these are your friends. They don't lord themselves over what they know, they don't take the material too seriously, and they are by no means looking to make themselves the ambassadors of the fandom. In short, they have fun here. And while they have made one maybe two political statements that make me roll my eyes, and they maybe hold Stephen Colbert a bit too highly in regard (one of the most unfunny Mother-f#*kers to ever live) it's the kinda thing you expect at a nerd poker night with your buddies, where not everyone agrees, but you don't have too. They're knowledgable, relatible, and are pretty funny. It's great to find a podcast about Tolkien that doesn't make me feel like I'm in a Theology class or that is taking everything so seriously.
