“I’ve listened to the entire podcast, except for the 48th episode to which I am currently listening. Danny and Joel are fantastic. They have a deep understanding of Tolkien and his work, and they deliver it in easy to understand ways. They give one enough information about a topic to satisfy, but they also entice one to read more into it through various means. I, myself, am a deep lover of Tolkien. Much like Danny and Joel, I grew up watching the movies. It was later in life that I delved into the books.
As I have listened to the podcast, there are a few things with which I take issue. Joel often mispronounces Pippin's name. It makes my eye twitch whenever I hear him say "Peppin". Occasionally, they are incorrect in what they say/deliver. Although, 9 out of 10 times they do correct their mistakes. Their other “mistakes” are merely not giving full quotes, which, for me, is annoying, as I well know those quotes, the main one being Glorfindel’s prophecy in the 2nd age.
My sister is the one who turned me on to this podcast. I have yet to regret it.”Read full review »
