“I’ve been a fan of Marks for well over a decade, but recently his insufferable pretentiousness and pandering has become a real slog to listen to. But that’s nothing compared to Jack Howard, a child with almost no film knowledge and a bratty, misplaced faux confidence. The pretend bickering is worse than Mark and Simon on their Radio 5 counterpart. I fear it’s all an attempt by Mark to stay relevant and fresh, it comes off as a pair of mismatched film fans having petty arguments whilst adding nothing to film discussion as a whole”
