“Like many listeners I arrived at this podcast already a long time fan of Kermode’s. The episodes with just Mark or him doing his shows are excellent. Jack Howard joins him as a guest from time to time and honestly Mark could do so much better. Jack spends most of the time uttering the words, ‘oh, well I haven’t seen that’ or ‘no, I don’t know that one’ leaving Mark to continue on his own completely derailing any sort of specific movie discussion.
Mark, you obviously get on well with Jack but please give him homework before each episode you collaborate together. He needs to be more than just a clueless audience member.”
