Overdramatized
To save you the time of listening to the first two episodes: boomers fall for a scam on the dark web thinking they’re hiring a hit man for less than $10k but when anyone tries to get law enforcement to do something about it, between stretched resources and legal loopholes their hands are tied. Even victims laugh at it because the people trying to kill them are dumb.

Overall the topic and story is pretty gripping and interesting. Unfortunately I felt the journalist wasn’t experienced enough to deal with this story, and at times comes across a bit naive and amateur (sorry). The story it tells is almost unbelievable. But it’s terrifyingly real. The story spans years and crosses the globe. Told very well and from a perspective letting you see inside some of the thought processes of people who want someone dead. And mean it. Some inspiration in there too. Amazing stuff.
