“I enjoy this podcast and the solid Apostolic teaching and conversations about important topics. I’ve been listening for a long time - but have never left a review so… enjoyed last weeks discussion about the whole man, nodded my head in agreement over and over during the episode with the Grizzles, enjoyed the episodes featuring Bro Holmes, Bro Booker, and many of the others! Also… I appreciate the moments of humor you intersperse throughout the episodes as well.
If you read my review on your podcast feel free to stop now 😅…
Guest recommendations: my list would be unconventional! I’ve been around Pentecost for over 40 years - and my biggest heroes of faith (with one exception) have been those who never stepped foot on a big platform - home missionaries, church planters, pastors with a heart for their cities who don’t have a broader calling, don’t envy those who do have a broader calling, and who just serve God and serve those they minister too. My exception is David K. Bernard for the influence he had on helping my dad establish his walk with God back in 1981… Bro Bernard was just a saint in a church we visited and he asked my Dad - a single guy in the Air Force with a little girl all alone in Austin, Texas - if he would like to have a Bible Study, my dad said yes - and the rest is history! Now my dad and stepmom are still in church as well as me and my three sisters. God has been good to us and seen us through some hard times, church hurt, and watching many people walk away. My dad credits his staying power to things he got ahold of through the home Bible Study Bro. Bernard taught him. We girls credit our staying power to the simple practices of being faithful to God and to church, trusting God and loving others we learned from our parents.
A potential guest:
Victor Jackson on how God can use our brokenness - I’m just finishing his book “A Word to the Broken” and it’s excellent.
If you want to talk about how social media can be part of a church’s outreach plan - reach out to Summer Neal from the Social Pentecostal. I’m a marketing strategist and she knows her stuff! I love how she’s encouraging churches who use social media to use it more effectively to actually connect with their communities and not just as a billboard.”
