“I like podcasts. I listen to about a dozen in rotation at any given time. When I found out about this podcast three weeks ago, I excitedly downloaded the first episode. And I wasn’t disappointed. You see, the Dark Tower is my favorite book series of any genre. As a Constant Reader and someone who’s taken the trip to the Dark Tower several times, being able to re-read my favorite sections and take deep dives into the details of the books with these guys is so enjoyable, I shelved all of my other podcasts and have been marathoning every episode to catch up. Time must work differently when you’re listening to this podcast, because I’m now only one week behind.
How deep do you want to go? Do you want to discuss character motivations? Connections with other King novels? The quotes beginning the novel? The covers? They cover it all with thoughtful, provocative discussion. I'm looking forward to being caught up enough so that I can answer the discussion questions they have at the end of each episode which are just as enjoyable as the analysis.
