No matter how long you've been knitting, from 20 minutes to 20 years and beyond, you'll LOVE Paula's podcast. More than any other knitting podcaster that I know of -- and I've listened to a lot of knitting podcasts! -- Paula makes her listeners feel integral to her program. If you write her an e-mail or PM her on Ravelry, she'll write back *and* thank-you on air. (Mention that you're a first-time listener.) But Paula goes way beyond this personal gesture: she has an uncanny sense of what listeners want to hear. I'll be honest: I had only a passing interest in wildlife (one or her passions) and -- sorry, Paula! -- no interest in the bagpipes (another) before listening to Knitting Pipeline. Now, I actually look forward to her nature notes and piping notes. It's deeply pleasurable to listen to a woman who is so connected to her own interests. I should also note that Paula has zillions of fabulous knitting tips and gets you genuinely excited to keep plugging away at the craft you love. She has superb taste in yarn (e.g., Woolen Rabbit, Quince & Co.). Finally, like David Reedy of Sticks and Strings (though I enjoy Paula more), Paula comes across as completely ego-less. You feel as though she'd be genuinely delighted to meet you. Can't say enough good things about this WONDERFUL podcast.Read full review »

I am not sure why, but there is something about this podcast that I really like! It's so nice to hear just the chit-chatty everyday stuff, mixed with the knitting- there is a great balance going on. I really like that Paula has so many varied interests, and likes to talk about them. To me,...Read full review »
