“Matt Sitman and Sam Adler-Bell have created an excellent podcast ! in particular the episode in which they breakdown the rhetoric of conservatwive 'debate' building off of the framework of Albert O. Hirschman (most well known for his groundbreaking "Exit, Voice and Loyalty"), in a later book he reduces essentially ALL conservative dialog into 3 core arguments: the perversity thesis, the Futility thesis, and the Jeopardy thesis. if you can understand these core arguments, you are well-positioned to make the affirmative case for a more just society while not being de-railed by conservative rhetoric, further it got me frustrated that certian failson hacks have nursed an entire career by milking these three basic tropes.
That was just one episode. all of them are excellent. :)”Read full review »

“As per title
An interesting insight into the American conservative political machine and how it manages to massively oversell and over perform as a political ideology”

“First heard about this on Citations Needed and binged without intending to. Start with episode two for an excellent example of how smart and useful this show is.”
