Just what I was looking for
I love everything Japanese. I also love everything horror. Unfortunately, there's definitely a shortage on the Internet of good sources for Japanese horror. This scratched an itch I've had for quite some time. I just really like knowing I'm listening to a horror story that was originally written by Japanese people, in Japanese, and set in Japan. As far as the quality of the podcast itself, it could use a few things. The biggest one that would help is perhaps another narrator. There's nothing wrong with Tara's voice, but she doesn't really change it when narrating, so it was particularly difficult to listen during the "If You're Going to Jump..." story. The story entirely consists of dialogue between a man and a woman, and if I even barely got distracted for a few seconds during the hour+ long story, I had to rewind it to remind myself who was speaking. The background music is great at setting the mood, but perhaps some sound effects here or there would make an even more immersive experience. Other than those couple of things, I'm definitely loving it, and I'll be listening each week for sure!Read full review »

I’m not typically a fan of scripted podcasts, but this one has just enough of a natural feel that I enjoy it! Japanese horror is so incredibly fascinating and if you’re looking for a good horror fix,...Read full review »
