“Kris does a great job defining what it means to truly be a mature christian and will challenge the idols in your life. To challenge the idea that it is somehow all about your performance pleasing God for those who come from conservative religious backgrounds while also challenging those in the Pentecostal or charismatic side of the faith that it's more than just enjoying the experience of God within the four walls of the church and to start putting faith into action. He does a good job of explaining the difficult truths in scripture that some might call contradictions. He calls it "truth held in tension" which highlights his point that even apparent contradictions in the bible are still true given the situation they are applied to and that the only way for the believer to know what is the right application for their particular situation can only be found in relationship with God and inspired by the Holy spirit. If you are simply looking for someone to validate your theology so you can feel better about yourself and continue to walk in what you believe to be the truth or that you have arrived and have nothing more to learn, then Kris will be particularly difficult foe you to hear...”Read full review »
