“The X-Files played such a huge part in my childhood. I had action figures, posters, trading cards, and I even went to X-Files conventions! I kind of discovered vagina as the weak final couple seasons were airing and naturally lost interest, but the X-Files has always held a place in my heart as my first geek obsession.
Kumail Nanjiani definitely has the same esteem for the show, dishing out great commentary on the social relevance of the show and it's place in pop culture. He's also booked great guests that provide insights themselves, and bring their own history to The X-Files.
This podcast has inspired me to go back and rewatch the show for the first time since it originally aired, and revisit my childhood in a sense.
