This is a great podcast if you're into advertisements and also for those who like having “podcasters” self promote to squeeze every last cent out of their FB soccer mom audience. It’s 35 minutes of ads and self promotion with a sprinkle of an actual story. Just another garbage production by...Read full review »

Love the content, however, I’ve always thought there is way to much irrelevant chit chat during the beginning of the podcast. As a listener, I’m only clicking on the podcast for the advertised content, not to hear about the personal lives or commentary on unrelated topics.

I was really interested in this podcast because it presents itself as getting to the bigger themes of specific offenses, rather than focusing on a particular story, but this is pro-prosecution garbage. And there’s so little actual analysis of the psychology parts of the show that their descriptor...Read full review »

This type of psychology is fascinating and these two professionals are just that - professional and so knowledgeable. This podcast makes me use my brain and I LOVE IT.

This podcast takes a different look a crime. Looks at the psychology of the crime/criminal, rather than your typical who did it and why. However what I REALLY like about this podcast is how fair they are when talking about religious communities. They have a few episodes where they call out the...Read full review »

I love this podcast. I have listened to it for a few years now, and I love it. Here’s why: 1. Dr Scott and Dr Shiloh are well educated, and actually know what they are talking about. Not only because they went to school to earn their doctorates, but because they work/ed in the areas in which...Read full review »

Being an LA resident, I love the discussions about local history and iconic places (the 110 freeway on ramps are indeed harrowing!), but it's also a fascinating exploration of psychological topics, true events and the people involved. The hosts are so fun to listen to and learn from. Highly...Read full review »

I’m listening to this for the second time because I love it so much. As a therapist, this show is so informative and I feel like I’m constantly learning something new. Dr. Scott is constantly making me LOL. And I feel like I’m sitting there laughing with them!

I am obsessed with this podcast! I love the episodes, the old Hollywood and the clinical episodes. I am a forensic psychology major and I feel that this podcast is the chefs kiss of podcasts. I also enjoy the fact that Dr. Shiloh and Dr. Scott have the experience in the field and the episodes...Read full review »

As a mental health professional, I expected much more from this podcast. It needs more actual analysis & much less unrelated, mind numbing tangents. UGH.

I found out about this podcast while listening to another true crime podcast. I started at the first episode and have not been listening to any other podcasts in a few months. I love the long episodes and would listen even if each episode was 2-3 hours. I also enjoy the random tangents and funny...Read full review »

Maybe I listened to “lighter” episodes, but I expected more insight given that the hosts are mental health professionals. Starting episodes with over five minutes in ads really made this not worth a regular listen for me.
Nettie0802 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/09/23
Between the 5 mins of ads at the intro, to the useless banter, where is the story? 36 minute episode took 12 mins to start the story. Never again will bother with this podcast

Hey guys you covered the Greenbrier ghost case BUT you didn’t mention the Rebecca Cornell case which involved TESTIMONY from a ghost —a real murder case that took place in the US in New England—so the greenbrier actually isn’t the only one!! Maybe you could add this one to your content:)

When I first came across this podcast I found the topic matter interesting but as I’ve continued listening I’ve noticed something about the hosts that I cannot get past. This is an excellent cast from two psych professionals, devoid of the low-information hot takes and sensationalism that characterises other shows in the genre. Great choice of material and analysis.

I’m a clinical psychologist in NZ and love listening to a true crime podcast where the discussion around psychopathology is so accurate, and done by two psychologists with such great, friendly personalities. I feel smarter after listening to an episode.

Love the podcast, only 15ish episodes in but really enjoying them the only feedback I’d give is that sometimes it’s assumed that the listener knows about the case they are discussing. Dr.s Shiloh and Scott do a great job explaining the psychology in their retelling of past crimes. Sorry you recommended “Father wants us dead”podcast. These so called journalists basically blamed the entire thing on Lists’ wife because she was nagging and demanding. I found their analysis of the crime very lacking and problematic.
