Back to fence sitting
I have previously written to the bbc to report finding Jenny Murray snipey & rude to her guests. It would now appear the BBC’s overall intention to disguise its right-wing clipped judgements are slipping over into the late night section. Several reviews here question “what has happened to the late night section?” and why has it changed? Who actioned the over edits for example. It’s negates any depth this show would have had and undermines the listeners as shallow and too busy to pay attention. I regularly listen to one hour shows without any taxation on my feminine brain cells. The lack of warmth and conviction in the most recent episode, which combines meditation, crystals, public speaking and *Goop (swills vomit from mouth) hashes together sincere insightful tools & spiritual practice, with Gwyneth Paltrow’s blind ambition for world domination via women’s health. What on earth is going on, that a panel of women are able to undermine a great swathe of Wiccan practice alongside commercialism and material crap. I am so disappointed in the Late’s new format and assume rightly or wrongly that Lauren had absolutely no say. This disarms women to have no opinion that counts. I stopped paying the liscence for the bbc years ago because I no longer wanted to support a subtle Political ‘Right’. This show sadly too is being sucked into its boney, narrow-minded grasp. Nil point

More reviews of Late Night Woman's Hour
Lauren is my favourite broadcaster and this show always has such interesting and diverse guests. I love that it’s like a nice long chat you’d have with your friends.

I enjoy Late Night Woman’s Hour much more than Woman’s Hour- but how can you have a podcast called Woman’s Hour when it’s usually below 15mins??? Your conversations are interesting- what happens for the rest of the time?

As an ex-mil officer (so supposed leader), I enjoyed ther review of Dixon's On Psychology of Military Incompetence. It was the book that inspired me to take OU...Read full review »
