I was excited for the two hosts, Liz and Andrew, to get back together. But, it’s mostly been a disappointment. If you liked their other show, you will get slight hints of that. There will be some light discussion about law topics in the news, followed by constant advertisements for their other revenue streams. Be prepared to have any interesting or in-depth conversation locked behind a paywall, while you continue to listen to ads. Most content creators either lock portions of their content behind a paywall OR they have an ad-supported version. They have decided to do both, locking the majority of the content behind a paywall while simultaneously forcing you to listen to ads for the cliff notes. I’d be willing to pay for the full episodes if it wasn’t for the fact that then I’d be paying to still hear them mention their Patreon and substack 30 times an episode.

I have long enjoyed the knowledge and debate among the hosts (long = Andrew had another podcast that I dropped when he left). My only annoyance had been their lawyerly belief that “the rule of law” was something real. Now, after the election they seem to be less credulous. As Liz said...Read full review »
