Born in Venezuela to Syrian parents, he moved to the United States at the age of 13. He is known for being the chef and co-host of Telemundo's morning show Un Nuevo Día for over ten years, as well as a judge for some of the biggest cooking competition shows. In addition to his work in the media, Chef James is a successful entrepreneur and CEO, running restaurants, a popular e-commerce site for all things cooking and a cooking school for home chefs. Chef James is also the author of the 39-week best-selling book “:Cocina en Casa con Chef James.” He has won three day time National Emmy Awards and hosts the "Ponle Huevos" podcast.
