“I had been pulling my hair out trying to get along with my 12 year old daughter who constantly rebelled about almost everything I tried to do with her. Every time I wanted to go hiking or try a new restaurant, it was a major drama. I finally told myself that I was going to be patient with her as this was a hard time to grow up. So, I endured hung out at these annoying malls. Eventually, we would walk around, have hot chocolate and talk about the world. I stopped trying to change her behavior (except for manners and courtesy) and just be a better listener and dad. Now she is much more fun to be with on weekends.”
