And is Alex and his friends getting drunk on the podcast supposed to be some cutting edge technique to improve our retention of new vocabulary? After listening to this podcast I can only speak Japanese relating to drinking, yelling at people, drinking, making fun of people, drinking, and sound effects accompanying falling down stairs. Where are all those lessons about homework, hobbies, and all those other things that fill the volumes of Minna no Nihongo?
