“This podcast suffers from two fatal flaws. First, the teacher has an unbearable American accent with painfully long and flat vowels - think "estaah" instead of "esta," "bow-lay-toe" instead of "boleto," etc. Second, and more importantly, the content is a lesson in bad language instruction, consisting in the rote repetition of stock phrases, such as "where is the pool?" and "where are the towels?" (Note the neo-imperialist content as well.) Besides the lack of context, there is the obvious problem that learning to ask the question will leave you completely unequipped to understand the response. It's possible the podcast improved, but I couldn't stand it for very long.”Read full review »
