Description
Segment 1: The Sandwich Generation Dilemma  As children of immigrants, should we feel bad for pursuing our passions and dreams when our parents worked so hard to move? A post of subtle asian traits went viral after an OP ripped up her university degree and declared that she was no longer going to work to make her parents proud but herself. Segment 2: Soft Ghosting Do you do soft ghosting? STYLIST UK Soft ghosting refers to someone 'liking' your last message or latest comment on their post on platforms like Facebook and Instagram where it's possible to react to an interaction, but not actually replying and continuing the conversation. So, although they're not ignoring you, they're also offering no genuine response. BUMBLE says that the real problem with soft ghosting is how unclear the signals being sent are. “Since your match has replied in some respect, it can be unclear if they are trying to end the conversation,” she says. “It also puts the person who sent the last ‘official’ message in a strange position, do you leave it? Do you double message?” Segment 3: Allan Liang from Big Brother Allan from Big Brother Australia joins us on the show today to discuss what it was like being a person of colour on Australian reality TV.
