Lucky for me, everybody spoke English but how I wish I'd subscribed to this excellent podcast before I left. Using real life situations, this podcast is fantastic for picking up the basics, it is not a formal study of grammar. Since my return from Hungary I'm amazing my colleagues (even with just the simple Hello's, Goodbye's, Please's and Thank you's). Well worth a listen (I'm up to lesson 3) - the first two are not on iTunes but a free download from the website. Viszlat!”
