Have had family living in Hungary for some years now. We have decided that it’s good to help with the little ones learning English but we need to know some Hungarian! Live the personal feel Steven and Györgyi bring to it, along with the many cultural insights. Fantastic resource!

I've been listening to this podcast for a couple months now and also studying on the side. My Hungarian is getting better and better, and this podcast helps. I also like that it's free and they don't try to sell you anything or force you into some paid lessons.

My Hungarian isn't the best so I thought this would be an interesting and educational listen. I'm thoroughly enjoying the podcast and although I have only listened to the first few episodes, my confidence is slowly gaining momentum. I also enjoyed the slight history lesson regarding the currency!...Read full review »

Great podcast for beginners. I am learning and have found this very easy, simple to learn style and very engaging. A good find for a tough language to learn.

I want to thank Custis for posting these on podcast for free along with the notes available for download. It is so helpful and i love the repeats where the words are broken down and said slowly. Also they are real life scenarios which are most helpful. Much appreciated 👍

The Podcast is excellent....basics taught in bitesize chunks with each episode building on the last, with the hosts/tutors keeping the lessons fun , varied and interesting. Keep the lessons coming :)

I just found this podcast and have found it to be very useful. I'm heading to Budapest in 2 months and would like to pick up a little Hungarian before I head there. It helps to use the transcript's from their website along with the audio.

Still a fan after months!! Truly one of the best ways to learn the language. Steve and Gyõrgyi have helped me understand more about verb endings and explain better than any other method I've tried for years. Thanks I'm so grateful and hope you keep them coming. By the way, Steve, you speak great...Read full review »

A big thank you to Steve and Gyorgyi for doing this podcast! I went to Hungary last year (going back this year) and this podcast really helped me communicate at a basic level with the people there. With funny, short and well explained dialogues, explanations of every new word, some repetetion to make sure you don't forget the words you have learned (but not much of it), and an explanation of the hungarian culture by hands of an...Read full review »

I'm so glad Steve and Györgyi are back, with excellent content once more. The latest episode (4-6 tram) is really very useful for travellers and people like me - just trying to understand what my Hungarian wife is yelling at me.

I love listening to this podcast, especially since they have a sense of humor and incorporate random prices of Magyar culture. I've recommended it to a couple people already :) it will be great having this podcast since we're going to Hungary for a couple months this year! Keep up the good work!

I'm so glad I've found podcasts like this. I leave in about a month to serve a religious mission in Hungary and I really want to be fluent in the language. This has given me a head start. This is a fantastic and very professional podcast for learning Hungarian. Unfortunately it seems there are only the 10 episodes which is a shame because it won't be long before I complete them. I would really like to download more episodes if you guys continue recording them.

This is a great intro-to-Hungarian podcast. Steve's accent is quite pronounced, but Györgyi more than makes up for it, and it is inspiring to hear about the kind of success Steve has had in his years in Hungary in spite of his accent. I only wish they were still producing new episodes!

I came across this a month before I was due for several trips to Hungary. These gave me the confidence to get through a few words and phrases, most importantly with the correct pronunciation, in what is a very difficult language. Highly recommended to all beginners.
