Deeply fascinating and entertaining
I started listening to Lexicon Valley about a year ago, and have listened to ALL the episodes, from the show's beginnings at Slate, with Mike Vuolo and Bob Garfield presenting, through John McWhorter's long time presenting it at Slate, and its current new incarnation at Booksmart Studios. I love this podcast -- it is always interesting and entertaining, and somehow always manages to cover new ground with every episode. There is just SO much to say about language!Read full review »

He’s changed me from a petty prescriptivist to someone who appreciates a changing landscape. Not only is his pretty much the only calm voice of reason on what we(‘re allowed to) say and why, but his delivery is effectively calming.
