“Mr. McWhorter is like a quirky old friend at this point, after all these years of the old Lexicon Valley, and all his appearances on other podcasts. His idiosyncratic approach makes this podcast feel laid back and friendly, even when the subject matter turns toward topics that may be “triggering” for some folks. He seems like someone I’d enjoy having a beer with, even when his opinion is not my own (although, honestly, it usually is). A reasonable man.”
