No, just no
This podcast only serves to highlight that just because you’re a good journalist, does not mean you’re a good podcaster. I listen to true crime podcasts daily, and I am also a journalist, and I have never listened to something so excruciating in my life. If you don’t know the story of Melissa, Google it before listening, because no backstory or sequence of events is provided. In fact, the first episode seems to be a mismatched group of random sound bites and awkward (but also extremely rehearsed) chit chat between the hosts. I am so disappointed as this story is so interested but this podcast is not. And I hope to never hear the names Kate and Tom again after they were slammed down my throat in every sentence of this dire podcast. Avoid at all costs.

More reviews of Liar, Liar
The presenters are smug self-promoters with clunky chemistry, the forced, jovial tone is all wrong, and in episode 1 we learned nothing new about what should be an interesting story. Dreadful tabloid tv type stuff, which is probably to be expected given the 60 Minutes connection.

Great topic and information and top journos… but I do agree with the review saying the tone is a bit mismatched for the content. Needs more empathy for the victims in the delivery.
