I didn't think a podcast could get any better than Mike Duncan's "A History of Rome". That was until I listened to Doug Metzger's 'literature and History". The deep expert knowledge that Doug has of not only literate but the history in which it was written is stunning. I wish I could have had a teacher or professor like Doug. I think my life journey would have taken a different path. If you thirst for knowledge like I do you have to listen to this podcast. Doug is also a great one with comedy and farcical music. I am now listening to "Literature and History" a third time! Still the greatest trip in podcast land.Read full review »
