“I like this podcast—a long form author talk/interview is important and much needed—but the sound quality is TERRIBLE. The mics on nearly every interview are poorly decibeled; you can usually hear the speaker breathing in a very awkward way, and many segments begin with a question similar to “can everybody hear me?” As a result, it is not a very listenable podcast, and moreover, it sounds quite amateurish. Surely there is someone in Washington D.C. who you could hire to make this podcast sound good. Otherwise, it suffers from not being at a competitive level with other podcasts. It does not sound like it was made by the intellectual, thoughtful people I know are behind it.”

“This is a great podcast. It makes me want to read the books that are being promoted. That said, I didn't like the one with Hillary Clinton. It isn't that I don't like her. It's that the person interviewing her helped her write the book. That seems like a conflict to me.”
