Happy Monday, everybody. It's been quite a while. It's been about two weeks since I've been on here and had to do a lot of self-reflecting some things in my life that took a backseat to trials and tribulations that I was facing. But to know that we're back, we're back better than ever. And I want to talk about something that's so important that a lot of people do not stress enough. You know, a stress gut connection. See, over the last couple of weeks, I've been trying to diagnose what was wrong with me. I started sleeping longer than normal and still be extremely tired. I would go write an email and forget what that email was for, experiencing brain fog. I would go to the gym but end up being so sore and inflamed that would leave. I would start to have mood swings and not want to be around anyone. And I was honestly losing my mind until I asked for help. See, being a coach doesn't mean I know everything. And getting to the root cause the issue is my only concern. What I didn't realize was the undue stress I was causing my body was relatively low amounts of sleep, strength training, and cardio on top of it. Then came increased caffeine consumption, that ultimately caused more stress in the body. That long term stress caused my stomach to release less acid, which prohibits more bacteria to grow. Therefore, weakening the immune system having SIBO which is small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and creating something called leaky gut. The overtraining was causing burnout, adrenal fatigue which causes insomnia, fatigue, and muscle aches. Intune stress damages the gut which causes SIBO and SIBO manifests into multiple symptoms known as IBS, hormonal imbalances and chronic fatigue. This is not something you want to go through, and I hope this helps someone understand the impact of stress can have on your body. This all came from pushing the body past its limits to finally break down. Slow down when it comes to business and life. Your health matters more than any paycheck ever would.
