Too many tangents for my taste
When they're on the topic, this is pretty interesting. Unfortunately, they're off topic quite a bit. The incandescent light bulb episode didn't mention the topic until eight minutes in, talking about eighties music and homosexuality in the music business instead. Which aren't uninteresting in their own right - but not what I'm looking for in this. I'm ok with small tangents (like those sometimes taken by Stuff You Should Know hosts), but this show is a bit excessive. I like the fact that the host sounds like someone you could run into at your local McDonald's and not a BBC reporter, but that McDonald's also seems to be located just outside of your local ditz festival. She's probably quite intelligent - this show just isn't a great testament to that. And when it feels like I'm listening in on a conversation between two girlfriends that just begs you to flip your hair and say "Like, oh my gawd!", I kind of want to choke myself. For great, fun, intelligent females, Invisibilia still wins in my book. So, I'm hoping that as this podcast moves forward, maybe it will solidify.... Or maybe not.Read full review »

I love the host and, despite occasional tangents, the show remains one of my favorites. I find myself laughing along to the jokes, drawing looks from my coworkers, but it's definitely worth a subscribe.Read full review »

in theory, this sounds like a great idea. In practice, it's anything but.Read full review »
