Description
Each of our mental health journeys follow a different path... how one navigates through mental adversity can be a messy, non-linear, and important quest. Sometimes the tools we choose aren’t always the best ones for us but learning to cope and growing from our mistakes is undoubtedly an integral part of our recovery. On this episode of LOOKING UP, mental health advocate and son of the beloved late Robin Williams, Zak Williams, shares his story of rock bottom and how he self-medicated his past trauma. From his low points, he sought support through 12 Step and volunteering with mental health organizations. Zak embodies what it means to be a mental health warrior and has co-founded PYM with wife Olivia June, in an effort to give people a product meant for the ups and downs of life.
