Amazing!
The title of this review doesn’t do this podcast justice. Like Tom, my dad introduced me to Middle Earth. In 4th grade I read the Hobbit. When COVID hit, I read The Lord of the Rings the summer after 6th grade, which helped me with the long days at home. I loved the story and it has been my favorite novel since then. Currently, I’m a high school student. Last week, on a train to Nevada, I found this podcast. It is the first podcast I have ever listened to and I can’t say how much I love it! I have not read the Silmarillion and one of the reasons is because my dad told me it reads like an old textbook. However, because of your podcast, I have been introduced to the wonderful and imaginative world before The Lord of the Rings. I have been inspired to want to read the Silmarillion. Also, I can’t wait till we get to Lord of the Rings because I know you will describe the events with masterful and brilliant storytelling. My favorite character is Samwise and I hope you do an episode on the friendship of Frodo and Sam once we reach The Lord of the Rings. I wonder who your favorite character is? I also think it is a good idea for you to stream playing The Lord of the Rings Online. To people who are wondering if they should listen to this podcast, you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO, especially if you are a Lord of the Rings fan! I guarantee you will be enchanted! I think Tom missed my review a month ago, but I really wanted him to see it, so here I am again!

Thanks, Robots, for the passion about Tolkien’s world, and your insights on the Silmarillion. I really love how you break it down and simplify and then tie things together from episode to episode. Love listening while on walks, while making dinner and any time I have a minute!

Incredible Podcast. Tom does an amazing job delivering the lore in this show and stay true to Tolkien’s work without the podcast becoming a full reading of the books or leaving the listener feeling like he is skipping over a lot of information. Easy listening and an absolute delight. Would...Read full review »
