…where was the investigation into the company that owned the boat? The name of the company that owned the boat is only given passing mention. What about any history of other incidents on that boat or other boats owned by the company that owned the fleet of boats? Were they ever cited for other...Read full review »

This was a really unique topic that I haven’t ever thought about or even knew existed. This is set up as a crime/mystery podcast, and while there IS an investigation, it was different than many of the others I listen to, so don’t expect a clear answer to this case specifically. However I still...Read full review »

This is the most incredible tale. I’m shocked about the circumstances within the international fishing industry. Keith sounds like a good smart man - who ended up collateral nothingness in a despicable industry. Consumerism is the most influential entity on the globe - please participate wisely

What an amazing podcast. I knew a little about what happens out at sea, it makes you think more about the seafood we all eat.

Well researched, well made podcast about an interesting topic, putting a spotlight on a tragic reality.

Not much more to say than that. I’ve run through it on double speed and even so I got bored to death by the end of episode two by which time all we had learned was this bloke disappeared from a fishing vessel. You will get most of what you want from just listening to episode five. I should think...Read full review »

Excellent investigative work and a very unique story. I absolutely LOVE this! BBC podcasts and news coverage seem to speak the truth with little to no slant. As an American, I can’t tell you how refreshing and desperately needed that is. Never stop BBC! I can’t wait to listen to your next podcast...Read full review »

Sounds like a great start into a podcast, so well done to the maker. BBC however: get lost. i refuse to download the BBC app to continue listen to something. Absolutely no.

Meh, bit of a missed opportunity to talk more abt fisheries. Touches on many subjects but doesn’t go into much depth.

I’m in the US w/ subscription, all episodes played w/ no problem for me. I loved this series! Very insightful, yet mysterious. I loved learning about an occupation I had never heard of. Not enough maritime content so this was a joy. Thank you!

A fascinating expose of the world of trans shipping and long line vessels; and the human rights abuses and modern day slavery which are at the heart of the industry. It’s an insight into a sector which I had no knowledge of and needs major legislative action so I found it an extremely...Read full review »

I wasn’t sure about this BBC podcast, the other BBC ones had been superb but the subject matter didn’t seem as gripping. How wrong I was. Keith’s story is central but the wider story of the dark side of the fishing industry is far more compelling. Needs a follow-up episode of what happened...Read full review »
